It stands on solid rubberwood legs. Open shelving sits above a 2-door cupboard on the left, with a column of open compartments on the right, giving 4 shelves in total.

The mix of open and closed storage means books, plants and display pieces can sit on show while games, files and chargers go behind the doors. The left-hand shelf takes up to 11kg, and on the right the fixed shelf holds 8kg and the adjustable shelf 6kg, with 30cm between shelves - enough for most paperbacks and hardbacks standing upright. Raised on legs, it is easy to clean underneath and looks lighter than a solid-base bookcase.

The Dallas Herringbone 2 Door Compact Bookcase is part of the Dallas range, available at Big Furniture Warehouse, alongside the Dallas Herringbone 2 Door Tall Bookcase, Dallas Herringbone 3 Door Sideboard, Dallas Herringbone 2 Door Sideboard, Dallas Herringbone 2 Door TV Stand and Dallas Herringbone 1 Drawer Coffee Table - all sold separately.
